Data backup occurs as often as every 15 minutes to your on-site BDR unit.
If your local server ever failed your local BDR unit can support your network in its place.

Data backup occurs every night. Your data is sent to two (2) secure off-site locations.
If a disaster occurred and you lost your server and local BDR unit, a Virtual Server from either of the secure off-site locations can support your network in their place.
